Congratulations to Emma DesLauriers and Elise Benson, our 2018 Baydogs Athlete Sponsorship Program recipients!
Emma DesLauriers is attending St. Francis Xavier University, where she is taking Development Studies. Emma has participated in triathlons since she was little and has a true love for the sport. She is always working towards becoming a better athlete by pushing to go that extra bit further. One of her goals this year is to train harder and push herself to compete. She trusts in her training and respects the sport and the individual standards that push her inspiration and motivation to be a triathlete. The sponsorship money will pay for Emma’s Baydogs membership for the 2018 season. Good Luck Emma!
Elise Benson is 14 years old and is excited to be participating in her first sprint triathlon at the Barrie Triathlon this summer. She is a competitive swimmer and has completed a triathlon relay by participating in the swim for her team. She focused on her running in 2017 where she completed the Ottawa and Barrie 10km and 5km races. She is looking forward to being part of the Baydogs team, feeling a sense of accomplishment as she crosses that finish line and earning a Baydogs sweater of her own! The sponsorship money will pay for Elise’s entry fee to the Barrie Triathlon. Good Luck Elise!
